Las Vegas News-Las Vegas Vacation Real Estate Rental Market Booming

Many people think immediately of fabulous hotels and luxurious resort destinations when they consider Las Vegas, but in recent years, many Las Vegas visitors have settled upon a new trend. Rather than stay in a Las Vegas hotel with its impersonal features and lack of character, Las Vegas vacationers have begun to put a focus on renting residential homes for short periods of time in the surrounding neighborhoods. While staying on the strip might be out of the question, most vacationers seem to enjoy living away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas shows and Las Vegas attractions and staying in more sedate areas of town. Providing that the Las Vegas vacation rental home provides a pool, most vacationing tourists could not be happier with the ability to rent an entire home for an extended period of time, rather than stay in a cramped and expensive hotel. The ability to choose between available vacation rental homes in the Las Vegas area is a great help to those who would prefer not to stay in the Las Vegas hotels, despite their close proximity to the Las Vegas strip and all of the excitement and activities available there.

This focus on Las Vegas vacation rental homes is good news indeed for Las Vegas residents, who can rent their homes to the Las Vegas vacationing families who would rather stay there, in a natural surrounding rather than put up at a hotel with its crowding and hustle and bustle. With the ability to rent vacation rental homes, as opposed to being cooped up in a hotel, the Las Vegas vacationing family can spend more time enjoying the Las Vegas nightlife and Las Vegas shows and attractions, as opposed to being cramped up and pressed together in an over-priced hotel room.

The downfall, of course, is that the Las Vegas area does not actually permit the renting of vacation rental homes within a certain area of the strip. While the laws regarding renting out Las Vegas vacation rental homes exist in a somewhat gray area, it is sound advice for any Las Vegas real estate owner who is considering renting out their home as a vacation destination to reconsider whatever type of advertising that they might wish to implement. Keeping a low profile and being discreet would be the order of the day for those who would intend to rent vacation rental property in Las Vegas undetected.

Las Vegas for Cheapskates

In Las Vegas, the phrases convenient and inexpensive are rarely heard together.  The focus on luxury and lavish appointments at every turn in the world famous Las Vegas hotels and casinos, as well as the over-the-top Las Vegas shows and Las Vegas attractions can put a tremendous dent in the Las Vegas visitors wallet.  But, for those who have the resources, there are extremely effective ways of reducing the cost of traveling and staying in Las Vegas.  With the exorbitantly overpriced Las Vegas hotels and casinos, the vacationing family or couple who wants to conserve their resources and spend as little as humanly possible on their journey to the Las Vegas gambling mecca in the desert will be required to take alternative steps in order to save the tremendous amounts of cash that it would ordinarily cost to stay in these upscale and extremely expensive Las Vegas hotels and casinos.  One of the best ways to save money is to avoid Las Vegas hotels and casinos altogether, as even with the available coupons and special promotional offers that Las Vegas vacationing families can find on the Internet, it is still extremely expensive to stay in any type of hotel, especially the Las Vegas hotels and casinos that are so overwhelmingly high-priced.

The most effective method of reducing these expenses is to buy or rent an RV.  The focus on staying in an RV, even temporarily, can save the Las Vegas vacationing family literally hundreds of dollars per night in some cases.  In this way, the Las Vegas visitor and vacationing family or couple can save money and also bring all the conveniences of home, such as a stove, refrigerator and even a microwave, making for a much cheaper and simpler method of providing themselves with food and beverages, rather than purchasing these items from restaurants or other food vendors.  By staying in an RV for the Las Vegas journey, the vacationing family can save money to spend on Las Vegas shows and Las Vegas attractions, rather than spend exorbitant amounts of cash on the ubiquitous Las Vegas hotels and casinos.  Comparing the cost of renting an RV versus staying in a hotel room, it becomes clear that almost any alternative would be better than staying in a Las Vegas hotel and casino that costs upwards of $100 per night.

While many might think it is strange to rent a hotel on wheels, RVs are the most effective and least expensive way to travel.

Building Safer Communities in Las Vegas with Creative Concepts

Filed under: Las Vegas — admin @ 10:48 pm

When most homeowners think of security in the Las Vegas area, the first thing that comes to mind is the ubiquitous white security boxes and alarms that provide security at so many residential locations, provided by local alarm service and monitoring companies.  These alarms are all well and good and provide a line of defense against intruders and other types of disturbances.  But a new focus by the police force has begun to study the concept of building neighborhoods safer rather than requiring them to be controlled by law enforcement or monitoring agencies.  The concept of designing neighborhoods to be safer dates back quite a few years, but it is only recently being implemented on a wide scale.  The idea is that no monitoring agency can do as good a job of keeping an eye on your home as your neighbors.

The concepts introduced in these security surveys being conducted by the specially assigned task force of the local police are simply questions such as where can criminals hide and who can see into certain, isolated spots.  With some neighbors complaining that their windows are broken out repeatedly by young kids standing in a secluded area that features poor visibility, as well as the proliferation of tall bushes, poorly lighted areas and solid walls that allow criminals to hide behind cover, it is apparent that many neighborhoods are not properly planned or not planned at all with security in mind.  Because of developers focus on aesthetics and the cosmetic nature of home construction, the concept of security often gets left by the wayside in the development and planning process of constructing new neighborhoods.

But with the focus on building safer Las Vegas neighborhoods, areas such as North Las Vegas would be less vulnerable to the types of crime and rampant criminal behavior that occurs in the area on a regular basis.  This revolutionary concept of examining how communities are constructed and how neighborhoods can be built to provide a safer location for families to occupy might be the first indications of new laws and regulations that will allow for homeowners to provide more safety features in the construction of neighborhoods and homes as well as communities and subdivisions.  Freeing up police officers from patrolling neighborhoods and allowing them to do more substantial work in the community would be a tremendous benefit of the safe neighborhood design concept, as well as providing a safer environment overall.

How Long Can Las Vegas Stay Unique?

In the world-famous Las Vegas area, the emphasis has always been on providing over-the-top entertainment in the form of the Las Vegas shows and the world-famous Las Vegas attractions that bring so many visitors from around the world and entertain the masses who are so happy to travel to the gaming capital of the nation. With its emphasis on providing a unique experience including gaming, gambling and all manner of entertainment experiences, Las Vegas has been the forerunner of the gaming and gambling community as well as the entertainment capital of the world for many decades. But as more and more states begin to relax the legislation that rejects the ability of industry proprietors to expand into these areas, it becomes apparent that the concept of Las Vegas being a unique entity unto itself begins to crumble. All around the United States and even around the world, there is a strong emphasis on replicating the ultra successful Las Vegas shows that have entertained so many people and put a unique spin on the Las Vegas area as an entertainment capital. By emulating this success, other areas of the world can effectively duplicate the Las Vegas formula for success. Unfortunately, there is no patent on having a good time, and there is little that Las Vegas establishment proprietors can do about other poker rooms and casinos ripping off their style and panache as well as the general atmosphere of the gaming and gambling capital of the world.

Considering the extremely focused and targeted nature of Las Vegas entertainment, it is easy to see how it could be easily replicated by a multitude of savvy entrepreneurs interested in taking advantage of the desire for individuals to participate in these types of events on a regular basis. As more and more entrepreneurs and proprietors continue to build new casinos and poker rooms around the world that are so similar to the Las Vegas hotels and casinos, it becomes more difficult for the real thing to differentiate itself from all of the clones.

Despite all of the competition, Las Vegas still retains its crown of the gambling capital of the world for the present. In the future, it remains to be seen how effective some of the competition might be in overthrowing the champion, as there is always a contender out there, looking to take the crown.

Las Vegas Boxing Sees Record Revenue

Filed under: Las Vegas — admin @ 9:09 pm

While it is no secret that the Las Vegas shows and attractions that bring so many visitors from around the world are extremely lucrative, the boxing matches that are held in Las Vegas have hit record returns in recent years, as more and more visitors continue flooding into the Las Vegas area to enjoy the competitions of skill and endurance.  In the case of the Las Vegas boxing phenomenon, the sport has grown so popular in Las Vegas that it overshadows almost every other type of sporting event in the area and receives a tremendous amount of gaming and gambling revenue in its own right independently from the ticket booth and other wagering that goes on behind the scenes.  With the tremendous returns, it is simple enough to estimate that the Las Vegas boxing events are some of the most popular and lucrative events for establishment proprietors in the area, outstripping the monies generated through almost every other entertainment venue short of the gaming and gambling tables that dot the Las Vegas strip.  With the focus on these exciting matches of strength, skill and stamina, visitors have every opportunity to see these competitions up close and upfront from the very front row at any point in time, simply by logging onto the web and purchasing tickets online.  In fact, with all of the discount Las Vegas tickets sites that exist on the web, it is a simple matter to even get a substantial discount or a promotional offer involving the Las Vegas boxing matches that are so popular and bring so many visitors from all over the world to the Las Vegas area to participate as a spectator in these types of events.

With the tremendous amount of record-setting revenue that Las Vegas has seen from boxing matches, it remains to be seen whether there will be any acceleration of these types of events with the onset of the phenomenal popularity or if they will remain the secondary attraction that they have become in recent years.  While boxing might have been the over-the-top attraction for Las Vegas in past decades, in recent years the wealth of Las Vegas shows has overshadowed the boxing matches as a tremendous attraction on visitors from around the world.  Thankfully, in recent years the sport has made a comeback and has seen more and more visitors and a return to the strong amounts of revenue that have been seen in the past.

Death Valley Day Tour

Filed under: Las Vegas — admin @ 9:07 pm

Las Vegas has always been famous for featuring all manner of available events and activities such as the world-famous Las Vegas tours that bring so many visitors to the area to participate in Las Vegas shows and Las Vegas attractions. With the Death Valley Day tour, the Las Vegas visitor and vacationing family can enjoy a trip through the magnificent Mojave Desert, seeing and enjoying all the world-famous sites and attractions such as the Furnace Creek Ranch museum, where the focus is squarely on the history of the famous Death Valley area and there is no end of information available about the famous desperadoes and outlaws that once made the area their home. Other stops on the trail include the lowest spot in the Western Hemisphere at Badwater, 282 feet lower than the surface of the sea, where a spring feeds a pool in the bottom of the salt flats.

The highlight of the tour is the world-famous Ubehebe Crater, remnant of a volcano that once stood in the very spot and destroyed itself in a massive volcanic explosion, leaving an 800 foot deep crater gouged deeply into the surface of the earth. This is one of the most popular spectacles on the Las Vegas tour in general and leaves many Las Vegas vacationing visitors and their families wanting to return and enjoy the spectacles and sites that can be seen on the Death Valley Day tour that commences in Las Vegas and ends with the final stop at the Rhyolite Ghost Town, where the entire family can enjoy the history of the old West as told by local tour guides who are extremely well educated on the subject and explain in detail the events that led to the formation of the local community.

The tour includes a complimentary continental breakfast, lunch and a stop at a real castle, and at the end visitors are given a Death Valley explorer certificate, always a big hit with the children and families enjoying their Las Vegas vacation and the ubiquitous Las Vegas tour. With the emphasis on exploring the detailed history of the old West as told by the Las Vegas tour guides on the Death Valley Day tour, the entire family will be highly entertained and enjoy a trip through the past to a world that has barely changed in centuries, retaining its extremely arid climate and emphasis on historical significance.

Las Vegas Wedding Chapels Revenue Down Nearly 10%

Any time you might hear mention of the world-famous Las Vegas vacation resort destination, all manner of images might flash to your mind.  Whether it is the Las Vegas hotels and casinos or the world-famous Las Vegas shows and Las Vegas attractions that you think of first, it won’t be long before you eventually come to the world-famous Las Vegas weddings and their ubiquitous presence on the Las Vegas strip.  Unfortunately, in recent years, the revenue in the Las Vegas wedding chapels has been reduced severely.  While immediate culprits of these types of downfall in revenue are difficult to ascertain, many Las Vegas wedding chapel establishment proprietors have complained of individuals hanging out advertising in the form of hand bills to individuals leaving the wedding chapels, claiming that the approach is somewhat aggressive and is responsible for the downturn in revenue at the world-famous Las Vegas wedding chapels.  With the offensive and intrusive marketing and promotion activities of vendors and Las Vegas businesses to wedding attendees as they exit the wedding chapel, it is hard to argue that this behavior is not detrimental to the ongoing business and revenue that is conducted at the ubiquitous wedding chapels.

With the wedding chapels revenue down nearly 10%, it is an easy enough matter to see that the Las Vegas area has managed to experience some difficulties in the crossing over between the different types of industries, and as hotel and casino promotional efforts are proving detrimental to the wedding Chapel business with the extreme amounts of hand bills and advertising and promotional efforts that are aimed wedding participants as they exit the wedding chapels.  While there is no city ordinance that prevents this type of behavior, it is certainly something of a nuisance for the wedding Chapel proprietors who are required to deal with this type of intrusion on a daily basis.

Considering the downturn in the local economy with the slumping of the real estate market, this type of reduction in the revenue generated at the wedding chapels is certainly not welcome, even less so with the current economic climate and the difficulties that many Las Vegas area businesses, including the wedding chapels, have had in remaining solvent.  Unless some changes are implemented, the financial outlook looks somewhat grim for the wedding chapels, despite their history of strong performance in the area.

Las Vegas Sands Corporation Expansion into Foreign Markets Hits a Snag with Financial Difficulties

Filed under: Las Vegas — admin @ 7:07 pm

The Las Vegas Sands Corporation has gained international recognition for its daring expansion plans into international markets.  Having constructed a multi billion-dollar casino in China, the largest one on Earth, the continued expansion plans in partnership with other corporations such as the Steve Wynn group have hit a snag with the amount of money that is required to shore up the ongoing construction process.  With all of the activity, it is readily apparent that the Las Vegas Sands Corporation is stretched somewhat thin with its attempts to bring the Las Vegas hotel and casino experience to foreign markets.  With all this effort to successfully transplant these types of Las Vegas shows and the world-famous Las Vegas attractions to international locations around the world, the Las Vegas Sands Corporation has extended itself to the utmost, and with the recent negative news about requiring even more financial capital to continue the construction of the super casinos that are designed to take advantage of global traffic and international trade in these emerging economies and developing nations around the world, there seems to be little positive information.  With such a tremendously over the top business plan, it remains to be seen whether or not the Las Vegas Sands Corporation can effectively accomplish all the goals that it has set out to achieve.

With the construction of a waterfront Casino in Singapore, the price tag has continued to balloon from its original estimate, putting a tremendous amount of strain on the financial engine that powers the Las Vegas Sands Hotel and Casino operations Company.  In the case of the construction that has been completed in Macao, China, while the massive super casino is functional and operational, it has yet to regain the investment that was required for the construction and implementation of the bold expansion plans of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.  The decision to undertake these types of simultaneous developments was predicated by the relaxing of local laws and legislation in these overseas locations.  If this were not the case, it would be very likely that the Las Vegas Sands Corporation would not have chosen to undertake such difficult construction at the same time as other projects were underway.

Despite all the financial difficulties that the casinos have had during construction, they are forecasted to generate a tremendous amount of revenue for the parent company as well as provide a shot in the arm for the local economy of the nations that host them.
