Las Vegas magnate Steve Wynn certainly has something to be thrilled about this holiday time. Investing close to $2.3 billion, the dazzling hotel and nightclub dubbed Encore will open this week.

This deluxe casino-hotel is attached to the very fashionable Wynn Vegas on the Sin City Strip. Whereas many Sin City casino-hotel investors are trying to find a direction to keep their hotel-casinos afloat, Wynn is flying high with his billion dollar hotel-casino investments.

The 2000 room hotel and casino has left nothing to the imagination. The big attraction of this hotel-casino will be the nightclub, XS. Steve has taken notice lately that nightclubs are hotspots in Vegas, and not necessarily the casinos like they have been in the past. Steve states that Las Vegas, Nevada nightclubs typically generate more riches and are a big attraction for the young and hip pack.

Wynn has also put up an over-the top steakhouse connected to the XS nightclub. The inspiration for the restaurant is the popular Colombian artist, Fernando Botero this circular steakhouse has a huge Botero figure as the main centerpiece. Not quite impressive as the nightclub which it is adjacent to; the Botero steakhouse is planned to match fairly well with the flamboyant Vegas nightclub.
The idea pertaining to XS and Botero is a sort of St. Tropez ambiance, where the partying goes on nonstop and the main part of the party goes down close to a swimming pool or beach-type setting. Times have definitely changed in Las Vegas, where many people fancy partying to slots right now.

Fans of next year’s C.E.S. Las Vegas, Nevada could be in for a pleasant surprise. Regularly, approximately at this time it is just about impossible to discover a vacant LV hotel and casino anywhere close to Las Vegas, Nevada, but the approaching Consumer Electronics Show Vegas is proving to be a whole different ballgame. A large part of the biggest hotel and casinos on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip have shockingly cut their prices at a maximum of twenty percent.

Just about 100,000 travelers raid LV each year to examine the revolutionary technology exhibited by the Consumer Electronics Association. The Vegas event is on display from Jan. 8th to the 11th with the greater part of the events being presented in the Venetian Hotel and Resort and the Sands Las Vegas. This proves to be a season when hitting upon a suitable room rate becomes almost a ridiculous effort.

The Consumer Electronics Association announced last week that a lot of the Sin City Strip resort hotels have cut their hotel room rates, most of them by quite a large percentage. If you have already made your reservation, you might want to check some of the recent deals on Las Vegas hotels. For example: the Tropicana Las Vegas has cut their nightly rate by around 17%. The majority of the Sin City hotels and resorts operating near the Consumer Electronics Show, have started offering individual C.E.S. prices to the guests of the Las Vegas event.

Some professionals say that this decrease in Sin City resort hotel prices is because of the detail that most of the electronics enterprises have had to decrease the amount of staff they are flying out to the event. This forces the Sin City hotel casinos to slash their room rates to interest more visitors to their hotel and casinos at the time of this convention. While others imply that it has more to do with the current shortage of sightseers to Las Vegas in contrast to years ago.

criss angel
One may think that a powerful mix of Criss Angel with Cirque du Soleil might be a union created in heaven, or in Criss Angel’s case, hell.

If you had the opportunity to be one of the many enthusiasts who have attended this innovative Las Vegas idea, called Criss Angel BeLIEve featured at the Luxor Hotel, then you may have a different opinion about this newest show. This brand new Las Vegas idea is really Cirque du Soleil’s sixth performance to run on the Sin City Strip.

The show initiates quite identical to Angel’s routine illusion shows, with a tinge of “Cirque”. Then all of a sudden an unsuccessful magic trick takes Angel into a Wizard of Oz-like fantasyland. You will see otherworldly rabbits dashing about around the stage, in conjunction with Angel’s usual magic tricks and illusions connected with Cirque du Soleil’s dramatic attraction. The production climaxes with Angel actually splitting himself in half, most likely the focal point of this idea.

One of the predicaments, that most enthusiasts have encountered with the event, is the point that the illusionist has lots of spoken pieces in the presentation. Criss Angel’s acting talents aren’t really his best ability, and this is not customary in any of Cirque’s other popular Las Vegas, Nevada productions.

The good outweighs the bad, though, in this fusion of Criss Angel with Cirque. Expect many fabulous stunts featured in the performance, and united with Cirque’s outstanding ability, the presentation does have its memorable and magnificent moments. The ticket sales do not lie, as this presentation is looking to be one of largest performances that Cirque du Soleil has had in Vegas.

”Cirque” which was started in Montreal, Canada combines this original initiative to their program of Las Vegas presentations. Cirque du Soleil’s other events include: “O” in the Bellagio Hotel Casino Las Vegas, Zumanity at the Zumanity Theater in the New York-New York hotel and casino, LOVE in The Mirage Casino Hotel, Ka in the Ka Theater in the MGM Grand Hotel, and Mystere in the Treasure Island Casino.

vegas
Even if you are on a tight budget, Sin City can be an inexpensive break away from your hectic schedule if you make reservations in advance and do some research. One good tip is to have a clear idea of what you want to do, how long you will stay in Las Vegas, and which hotel you are going to stay at. If you have a clear idea of these topics, then your vacation to Vegas will undeniably be one to remember forever.

As far as flights are concerned, this may be the most difficult part to find the cheapest flight. Many airline companies are cutting back flights, due in part to the financial and fuel situation in the United States. Something to think about is to compare travel packages from several different companies; a good example of these sort of packages could be hotel + flight + car rental for a guaranteed price. Depending on the time of year, you may see that it is less expensive to buy these separately. The cost difference you may find could be considerable.

One idea that you may find beneficial is to sign up for e-mail alerts from the hotels and airlines you are interested in. They will forward you an e-mail when their best deals are available around two months ahead of time. Also make sure that if you have already booked a hotel room, continue to check the rates that they are publishing up till the day of your trip. The prices may change so if you see a rate less expensive than the one you reserved, try to speak with the manager of the hotel about dropping the cost.

Remember that the number of people visiting Vegas is less these days, so the hotels and flights to Vegas are looking to attract your business. Right now is a perfect moment to get online and book a flight and hotel to Las Vegas

tao
With the enormous success of the Tao nightclub at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, the owners of this Vegas nightclub are welcoming a spanking new Roman/Mediterranean style restaurant called Lavo which can be found in the Palazzo resort. This radical design is based on the Roman bathhouses of the past. A lot of effort has gone into the historical accuracy of this Las Vegas nightclub/restaurant and into the minute details also.

This Vegas nightclub/restaurant can hold 300 people and features a menu full of Mediterranean fare. Their menu is intended to promote the sharing of appetizers and small servings, as opposed to large one-person meals. The restaurant part also has an outdoor patio which can seat 100 guests and overlooks the well-known Sin City Strip.

The nightclub area has a state of the art audio and video system while live DJs are always availableto keep the crowd entertained. The nightclub stays open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing about 5 am. What the club doesn’t have is a VIP section, which the owners say is to have a more communal feeling.

Lavo always has lots of eye candy for the guests (especially the male guests). On hand is a model continuously bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the veranda, you will find a reserve of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best decision.

This nightclub is managed by the same group that opened Tao Las Vegas in the Venetian Hotel Casino in 2005. Ever since the opening of this nightclub it has been one of the most popular clubs in Vegas, frequented mostly by celebrities. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest earning destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This new space will definitely be a huge draw for The Palazzo Vegas. The Palazzo already features 3000 luxury suites, high class shopping stores, and the best in dining and entertainment.
